Back to School Blessing - Mount Vernon: FREE SCHOOL SUPPLIES
After a 3-year hiatus, Back to School Blessing (BTSB) is back!
An annual event that Bethany Covenant has long been a part of, BTSB provides school backpacks, gently used clothes, food, and support services to children and families in need in the Skagit Valley. Local Christian churches and community service organizations join together to host this event at Skagit Valley College, and previously up to 1,000 backpacks and supplies have been handed out.
This year’s event will be held on Saturday, August 19, from 8am until the supplies run out.
If you are interested in donating to BTSB to help fund backpacks, please send a check or donate to Bethany Covenant, and mention “Back to School Blessing” in the memo line. Bethany Covenant Church will be offering balloons and face painting for the kiddos at the event – if you are able to volunteer on that day, please contact Benita Rozema.
